2016 SwingThought TOUR players DEVELOP & ADVANCE
The Web.com TOUR kicked off their 2017 season under tough conditions Sunday. While the scoring wasn’t ideal the SwingThought TOUR (aka ST TOUR), is well represented with many former members and alums in the field. Among those kicking off the year in the first web event are 2016 ST TOUR winners Jonathan Hodge, Ethan Tracy, and Chase Parker.
2-time 2016 winner and SwingThought TOUR member, Jonathan Hodge is among those competing in the Bahamas. Hodge who won at Sapelo Hammock and The Members Club at Woodcreek, finished 2016, 6th on the money list, and finished in the top 45 at Web.com TOUR Q-School Final Stage securing his card.
2016 Savannah Lakes Classic winner Ethan Tracy is also teeing it up this week. The day after his win at Savannah Lakes, Tracy took that momentum and Monday qualified for the PGA TOUR’s Wells Fargo Championship. Tracy also played in several other Web and PGA TOUR events, including the U.S Open where he made the cut.
Chase Parker, winner of the 2016 Kandy Waters Memorial Classic is also in the field. Parker, who is a native to Augusta, GA, won the Kandy Waters Memorial Classic just across the river in North Augusta, SC. The win came during a hot stretch of golf throughout the summer for Parker that included 3 straight Top-3 finishes and a made cut at the U.S Open.
Other notable alums competing are 2016 member Seth Reeves, prior winners Ken Looper, Lanto Griffin, and Tommy “2 Gloves” Gainey. The SwingThought TOUR has proven to be stepping stone for players who want to make it to the next level. With events that mirror Web.com and PGA TOUR events, the SwingThought TOUR gives players the best opportunity to develop, advance, and experience life as a professional golfer.
