Myrtle Beach, SC- June 13,2016- Later this week, Oakmont Country Club will hold host to the 116th US Open, featuring 156 of the world’s best players. Out this year’s 156 player field, roughly one third are alums of the SwingThought Tour.
Most notable players include Major Championship winners Zach Johnson, 2007 Masters and 2015 Open Champion, Bubba Watson, 2012 and 2014 Masters Champion, Lucas Glover (Clemson University), 2009 US Open winner, and Keegan Bradley, the 2011 PGA Champion.
Current SwingThought TOUR members Ethan Tracy (University of Arkansas) and TJ Howe (Penn State University) are also in the field this week. Tracy was the winner of the 2016 Savannah Lakes Village Classic. With his win, he also earned an exemption into next week’s Air Capital Classic. Tracy’s season has also been filled with travel. He Monday’d into the Wells Fargo Championship the day after his win at Savannah Lakes. He also was granted a sponsor’s exemption into the Memorial Tournament (also known as Jack’s event).
